Strolling NYBG’s gorgeous 250-acre grounds is an experience no one should miss, and Wednesdays throughout summer and into fall are the best time to do it. Why? It is when you can load up on locally grown produce, fresh baked goods, and specialty items like custardy small-batch ice cream from Penny Lick and buttery croissants from Wave Hill Breads, and more. On select days in September, there is also live music featuring NYC-area musicians.
