Everything You Need To Know About Ryan Reynolds
Ryan Reynolds is a famous actor known primarily for his comedic roles. With two Golden Globe nominations and dozens of movies, Reynolds is one of Hollywood’s most recognizable celebrities. Ryan Reynolds was born in Vancouver into a family of wholesalers and was the youngest of four siblings. Reynolds was interested in acting but initially did not have much success. At 19, he ended his unsuccessful career and entered Kwantlen Polytechnic University. However, he could not finish and moved to Los Angeles to try acting again. Reynolds did not tell his parents about his decision as he did not want to disappoint them. He told his mother and father that he wanted to be a star when he was already in another country.
After moving to Hollywood, Reynolds landed several supporting roles in television series and films. He was offered the role of Xander in Joss Whedon’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997–2003), but he turned it down because he no longer wanted to play a teenager. Instead, he played medical student Berg on the ABC sitcom Two Guys, a Girl and Pizza Place (1998–2001). The series helped Reynolds develop a talent for mimicry and silly jokes, qualities that landed him a starring role in National Lampoon’s Van Wilder (2002).

His stature as a Hollywood star continues; Reynolds appeared in the comedies Waiting (2005), Just Friends (2005), Adventureland (2009) and action films X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), Green Lantern (2011), R.I.P.D. (2013), and Deadpool (2016). The latter film was a hit, and Reynolds later starred in and co-wrote the script for the sequel Deadpool 2 (2018). He then starred alongside Will Ferrell in Spirited (2022), a musical comedy inspired by Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol. Reynolds met his wife, Blake Lively, in early 2010 while filming Green Lantern, where they starred. They started dating in October 2011 and married on September 9, 2012. The couple has three daughters.
