Halle Berry's Homemade Face-Mask Recipe

Jul 14, 2020 ByLaura Lee

While in quarantine, many of us have taken extra time to put self-care first. Halle Berry is one of those people. She recently shared with her six million Instagram followers how she’s been spending her time. She went on Instagram with a mirror selfie to show her wearing one of her favorite DIY face masks. She even shared the mask’s ingredients for those who want to try it out themselves. “No better time than now for a #SelfcareSunday,” read the photo’s caption. “Let’s respin our skin ya’ll.” The actress shared the recipe on the official Instagram page for her workout brand, Respin. The mask is made with brewed green tea, turmeric, lemon juice, and plain yogurt. Turmeric is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and reducing redness, while lemon juice features vitamin C, which can brighten and even out skin tone over time. Yogurt contains lactic acid, which gently exfoliates, and green tea can be used as an antibacterial to prevent breakouts. Berry said she uses the mask to brighten and tighten her skin, reduce the appearance of fine lines, and “enhance that natural glow.”

On a post on her website titled, “The Eye Mask I Wear Before Every Event,” the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star revealed that she takes any leftover serum in her eye mask’s wrapper and rubs it into her neck and chest. Given that the model’s favorite eye mask—Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Concentrated Recovery Eye Mask—has tons of rejuvenating properties to reduce redness and inflammation.
