Movies transport us to different worlds and sometimes mirror our lives. Although the characters are fictional, they often become familiar and beloved by moviegoers worldwide. Here are some iconic movie characters that have taken screen time. Without a doubt, the work of Ian Fleming is one of the greatest fictional spies of all time and a pop culture icon. James Bond is the Royal Navy Commander for the British Secret Intelligence Service (SIS), commonly known as MI6. His secret service code is 007, and he is described as the best of the 00 spies (Double O). The iconic character makes his big screen debut with Dr. No (1962) and most recently in the film No Time to Die (2021). Together, the spy series is one of the highest-grossing franchises of all time. The character is notable for using unique gadgets, a one-liner, and around-the-world adventures. Six different actors have played Bond in various films in the series.
Harry Potter is one of the most significant characters in film and literature. Created by the famous British author JK Rowling, Potter is about a young wizard and his friends from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry who protect both the magical and human worlds from a dark wizard named Lord Voldemort. The character of Potter has been played in all the films by Daniel Radcliffe. Rupert Grint played Ron Weasley, and Emma Watson played Hermione Granger, two other characters who play Harry’s best friends.
