Milano Cookies Now Come in an Amaretto Hot Cocoa Flavor

Dec 07, 2020 ByClaire Miles

Move over pumpkin spice season, hello holiday treats! Sure, we have the typical winter flavors like gingerbread and peppermint, but Milano’s new cookie flavor is sure to become a cold-weather favorite. New limited-edition Amaretto Hot Cocoa Milanos have officially been spotted in stores. Junk food Instagram @CandyHunting posted a photo of the bags and said they were first seen at Stop & Shop. A representative for Pepperidge Farm told People that they just started to hit shelves and will be available in 7 oz. bags at retailers nationwide including Target in early November.

Amaretto hot cocoa is a fun twist on traditional hot cocoa with Italian almond liqueur added to make a nutty, chocolatey confection — and these Milanos sound pretty similar to the beverage. According to the festive packaging, which is decorated with snowflakes and Christmas trees, the cookies are described as “rich dark chocolate and the flavor of amaretto hot cocoa hidden between delicate cookies.”

Pepperidge Farm is releasing a holiday cookie kit delivered directly to your door across the country for free! On December 4, also known as National Cookie Day, the company will be giving exclusive “cookie kits” to fans. Each kit includes five classic cookies: Mint Brussels, Double Milk Chocolate Milano, Chessmen, Snowball, and Candy Cane Milano. The kit also comes with a custom-made cookie platter divided into 5 sections — kind of like a charcuterie board, but for cookies. Anyone who wants to secure a cookie kit for themselves can easily do so by visiting Pepperidge Farm’s website dedicated to the promotion and sign themselves up. There are limited quantities, and it’s first-come, first-served, so cookie lovers should sign up as soon as possible. Sign-ups will be live starting at 8 a.m. on Friday, December 4.
