Taylor Swift Attends Lena Dunham's Secret 'Impromptu' Wedding
Lena Dunham was married last week Saturday in a surprise wedding that was kept tightly under wraps. Dunham and English-Peruvian musician Luis Felber, whose stage name is Attawalpa, tied the knot over the weekend in what Dunham is calling an ‘impromptu’ ceremony with only 60 close friends and family in attendance. Among the guests, there was none other than pop superstar, serial dater, and close friend of Dunham’s, Taylor Swift. Swift, whose friendship with Denham has been public since 2013 and has had Dunham feature in her music videos, was one of the bridesmaids on the day.

The 35-year-old writer and creator of “Girls” met her now-husband through mutual friends in early 2021 and after briefly dating decided to get married just one month prior to the wedding day. Other recognizable names in attendance included Myha’la Herrold and Tommy Dorfman. Notably, no “Girls” cast members were in attendance, though that could be put down to travel restrictions and the sudden nature of the event.
On the size of the wedding and those attending, Dunham told Vogue: “You can have a far bigger wedding with less bridesmaids, but I guess it just speaks to how excited I was to have my close friends there.” She continued on to say that “my girlfriends have had to deal with a lot of not-so-happy things with me in our adulthood, so to be able to celebrate something joyful and use it as an excuse to be together was very special.”
The wedding went down at the extremely exclusive members-only Union Club in London, at which Swift and her current partner Joe Alwyn are frequently seen. On her relationship with Swift, Dunham had this to say: “Not only is she an amazing friend to me on a personal level, but she’s an amazing friend to lots of people in the world.”
