Jan 06, 2020 ByAndrew Parker

There are very few things that are more exciting to hear than the fact that an app that tells you exactly when you just gotta go during a movie. It’s the absolute worst when the plot of the movie is heated and you’re on the edge of your seat to find out what’s about to happen, you’ve got popcorn comfortably rested on your lap and all of a sudden you’ve got to go to the bathroom. If you wait another second, you will explode. We’ve all been there, and it’s definitely one of the most annoying parts of being a human being. Well, luckily there’s a new app that aims to solve this issue. The RunPee app will make sure that you never have to miss the best parts of movies due to your bladder.  The app will let you know exactly when to go to the bathroom in the simplest way possible. According to their website, “The RunPee app takes the guesswork out of this for you. We watch every wide release movie to find the best scenes you can use, if you need to run and pee.” This is revolutionary, guys.

Start by downloading the app from the App store. Once you open the app you will see the list of movies with available potty break times. In order to see the pee times of movies that are currently playing you need to verify your email address. The next step is to select your movie from the list, and you will be given general information about the movie, including reviews and the cast and crew list.  And most importantly, the next step is to view the pee times! For example, in the film Titanic, it is suggested to leave for 4 minutes after the first 56 minutes, after Molly Brown says You shine up like a new penny.  Dan Gardner, the creator of RunPee explains that he chose this because it’s a moment when nothing too important is happening. The app also comes with a timer that starts when the movie begins. It will vibrate right before each set pee time. This is perfect for those moments when you get so caught in the movie and forget to take your intended bathroom break. Wild.
