The weekly late-night comedy is known for its progressive and timely reflections of societal issues. This week’s episode of Saturday Night Live focused on a more serious issue that’s been making headlines for the past few weeks.

Leading ladies Kate McKinnon, Cecily Strong, and Aidy Bryant joined host Saoirse Ronan in a musical sketch focusing on the recent rise in sexual harassment allegations circulating through Hollywood, media organizations, and government officials.


The song emphasises the “little secret that every girl knows” and more explicitly calling out some of the more well-known Hollywood elites:
“All these big, cool, powerful guys are turning out to be, what’s the word, habitual predators?” Bryant said. “And it’s like, dang, is this the world now?”


“House of Cards is ruined, and that really sucks, well here’s a list of stuff that’s ruined for us.” The list of stuff referring to Uber, vans, hotels, and parking, and a powerful message of, “Welcome to hell, this isn’t news.”
