Now that the weather is cold, there is nothing better than a hot cup of tea to warm you up from the inside out. But there are so many different types of teas that people can drink that it’s hard to know which is right for you if you’re not a tea connoisseur. Although teas range in color and flavor, all will help you warm up on a chilly day so it’s just a matter of picking a favorite.

Green Tea

Green tea has many health benefits. It also contains antioxidants that are both healthy for your body and help you stay warm. Green tea is has a light green color.

Black Salon Tea

Black teas are often more soothing on the throat than other types of tea. They are not as light tasting as mint or green tea, instead, they have a stronger flavor than many people enjoy drinking on cold days. Black tea is dark red-brown in color.

Herbal Tea

Herbal teas can be very helpful in cold weather. There are many different kinds, including chamomile tea and ginger tea. Some contain caffeine which will give you a small energy boost that can be helpful when it is cold outside.

Honorable Mention: Hot Chocolate

Although hot chocolate is typically served during the winter months, it actually has no place on this list. Hot chocolate does not offer any warmth or health benefits, and although it may be tasty, it is often high in fat.
