Why You Should Move To Your Dream City In Your 20's

Nov 30, 2019 ByClaire Miles

We all have a dream city that we think about while both awake and while asleep. We feel like it’s where we truly belong. The entire city just speaks to our soul on the deepest level possible.  We feel full of life and complete when thinking about moving to our dream city. The hard part? Packing up and leaving everything we know. Moving to a completely new city comes with a lot of unknown factors. It can, of course, be rather scary at the start, but if you think about it, if not now,  then when really? For once in your life, just go for it, be spontaneous, and go chase your dream. Here’s why it’s the best thing you can possibly do for yourself. If you don’t follow your dreams then you might regret it for the rest of your life. Our 20s are the time when we’ve got the most ambition and drive to succeed. If you give up on what you really want, you might seriously regret in late on life, and that’s never fun.

You could make the best friends ever! What could possibly be better than making the greatest friends ever in your dream city? Even if you don’t end up staying there for the rest of your life, you’ll have friends across the globe, and it’s the best way to learn about a city. You’ll also learn to trust yourself and your instincts more. Hello, maturity and self-assuredness! Often times, when we’re in our 20s, we might feel as though we need to adult and that we shouldn’t act on impulse. But once you take on a plan that helps you get to your dream, you’ll learn to better trust your gut feeling.

Oh, and you could land your dream job. Your dream city might also be where your dream job exists. Maybe even just due to the fact that you are so excited and driven to experience the city, you could find yourself stumbling into a field you never thought you’d work in. At the same time, you could inspire others. Your actions could inspire other people to take such a leap of faith too. You could show others how spectacular it can be to pursue your dreams.
